Car week in Monterey California is regarded by many as one of
the greatest automotive events in the world. From the gathering at
the Quail Lodge, to the Concorso Italiano and Porsche Werks
Reunion, to the Lawn at Pebble Beach, this is where the best
automobiles in the world come to be showcased.
Then there are the auctions, like RM Sotheby’s and Gooding &
Company, who temp bidders to part with their millions for a chance
to own the world’s best. On the flipside family events like the
Concours d’Lemons is where the best of the worst takes center
stage. If, however, the sanctioned events aren’t your thing, then
hell - just grab a lawn chair and head to Carmel by the Sea and
watch everything from a 10-million-dollar McLaren F1 to a cherry
1957 Chevy roll by.
This week on the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast, host Mike Musto sits
down with Hemmings cohorts Mike Austin and Rob Einaudi to talk
about their experiences ogling the best of the best on four
wheels.
