Mark Smith founded Factory Five Racing back in 1995, building one of the world’s most popular kit car companies. He sold his interest in that company to his brother in 2012. His latest project is Smyth Performance, which creates Ute kits for the Volkswagen Jetta & Beetle, the Dodge Charger, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and more.
Andy Hesterman was one of Smyth’s first customers back in 2016, and when his first driveway build video went viral, appearing everywhere from Motor Trend to Maxim, he soon built a business doing Smyth Ute conversions, and currently has a waiting list over six months long.
