Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back to the heyday of the muscle car? To see new Charger’s, Chevelle’s and Mustangs right off the dealer lot rolling around as everyday cars? For many of us, being a kid in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s would have been a dream, but for Wade Kawasaki, the President and CEO of Legendary Companies (formerly of the Coker Group), it was a reality.

Thrust into the world of wheels at a young age, Wade’s automotive journey began in the most innocent of ways, pumping gas and servicing vehicles at his family’s Southern California service station. From there Wade went onto work for an automotive parts company and when he noticed that a fair number of customers were coming in from outside of the United States he decided to go out on his own and, with the help of his wife, opened their very own automotive parts export business. That led him to SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) and a chance meeting with one of their Vice Presidents and from there, let’s just say his career flourished.

This is a great episode with one of the leading individuals in the automotive space today, so go grab a beverage, a workbench or something to tinker with and join us for a great conversation with Mr. Wade Kawasaki.
